The multi probe survey of the solar system hosting the Offworld colony is complete.

The system 'QHD793 (QHD793)' comprises the star 'QHD793' and the retinue of celestial objects gravitationally bound to it: 9 planets and their 451 moons, as well as asteroids, meteoroids, planetoids, comets, and interplanetary dust. The principal component of this star system is the star 'QHD793', a red dwarf class star that contains about 99.49% of the system's known mass and dominates it gravitationally. QHD793 is located more than 1940 lightyears from the center of the galaxy.Offworld, the first planet in this system, may feature life forms - it's average temperature is 339K (66C) and it's atmosphere contains 40% of oxygen. One year on Offworld lasts 223 days, one day lasts 15 hours. It's diameter is 11988 km, 0.9 times the diameter of the Earth.

New Transparent Material Designed by Off World Labs

The new Subspace array went on-line today establishing broad band cotact with the pata colony. Numerous greetings were sent from the America Colony but there are no replies as of this date.

The matter was refered to Offworld Prime to the Office of Naval Intelligence. Staffing is way down all through the Offworld Colonies. Some people still working at the America Colony Space Port are worndering if the Earth has recalled the human population and they did not get the word. All the prisons are empty now to allow the prisoners to pick up the slack.

Hotel Complex in America Colony

Robot work on the new Ameriac Colony Hilton is well underway. Recent setback in budget had halted development for the last year. However, following a small upturn in the OffWorld economy funding became sufficient to activate a small work force.

The America Colony Hilton when completed will provide the tired spaceman a good nights sleep and a bit of the old world in the enclosed forrest. Additionally the facility has a sports arena to add that bit of excitement. Unfortunately there is no funding to support a bottom of the ranking in any sport you might chose.

A new world found

The OffWorld Navy scout ship USS LODESTONE, Fleet Number 19, has discovered a new world. The inhabitants call it AW Gate. The people who inhabit this world have the most amazing ability to self teleport with no apparent mechanisms. The newest people, who appear from nowhere, are ignorant of the awesome powers they acquire upon arrival. These are all uniformly ugly in appearance. All the inhabitants can fly and hover at will and often do so. Other, more powerful inhabitants call themselves citizens and are capable or creating objects of various colors and textures from absolutely nothing. They can change their shape at will. Additionally, citizens have some sort of way to contact other citizens across the continuum in any part of the universe or world they currently occupy. Citizens are empowered by the magic number seventy. Intelligence analysts do not know the significance of the number other that it has a negative connotation with the number twenty based on an incident in the distant past.

The crew of the LOADSTONE left the scout ship and automated systems have only sporadic contact with crew tracking signals. The crew is apparently exploring the universe and parallel worlds that can be accessed from this gate world. When they return to the gate world the signal on their info-packs get downloaded by the LOADSTONE which relays the signal to the Office of Naval Intelligence on Offworld Prime. The images indicate incredible worlds.

Attempts by the Offworld Navy to land and assume control of this incredible asset are restricted by an entity calling it self the “Building Inspector” which informs ships in orbit to “build somewhere else as the area is filled”. The meaning of this cryptic message is unknown and a dialog with the entity is not possible because it always repeats the same message. Perhaps it is an automated guardian. No further action on the part of ships in orbit is possible at this time. Therefore Naval Headquarters has decided retire with honor. No attempt to recover the LODESTONE will occur unless a member of the crew returns. A prospect not considered likely.

Tramp Cargo Carriers

No matter how well the OffWorld Corporations plan ahead the riffraff is never far behind. Shortly after opening the new colony on America World the tramp cargo carriers began to show at the new Navy Yard docks. The tramp cargo ships are uniformly unsafe for interplanetary travel much less interstellar hyperdrive. However, given the shortage of adequate transport the Navy is forced to utilize their services. The captains of these vessels lack any semblance of order but have completely mastered circumvention of all Navy regulations and articles. Every effort is being made to rapidly unload cargo for the benefit of the colony and to move these ships along as quickly as possible to reduce the impact of lawless crews on the orderly society of the colony.

New movers were added to the reception platform at the Navy terminal as well as a tube lift to the level surface. Long-range radar is now completely operational. Temporary quarters should appear on the surface in the near future as modules are delivered from OffWorld Prime.

Copernicus Hills Mall in OW Prime

Percolated Properties UUC of Off World announces the ‘soon’ to be opening of Copernicus Hills Mall, located on the corner of Copernicus Parkway and Ganymede Drive at the landing of Unlikely Skyway in Off World Prime.

Phase One of the Copernicus Hills Mall includes famous name vendors like BudgetBuster Video, Bed, Bath & Beyonce, Old Gravy and with Tom & Jerry’s Ice Cream on the Food Court.

Phase Two, if it ever happens, will expand the shopping selection through the completion of the third tier, currently being there for walking, looking but otherwise mostly useless.

Tenets have yet to move in and open but their signs are up so we will venture a guess that they will soon be stocking their spaces with merchandise.

A New Colony on America World!

It came as a great surprise when the corporation heads of the OffWorld Consortium were contacted by a world called America. This is a world and should not be confused with the American continent on old Earth. The contact was an invitation to place elements of the OffWorld corporations in a new colony with a byproduct of providing economic revitalization to the host world. The USS Virgil Samms, one of the light scout cruisers recently acquired by the OffWorld Navy, made landfall last week. Robot construction is underway and so far completed and elevated naval control tower/ passenger center in addition to colony central construction which will become the new colony hub. Efforts are underway to maintain a low profile so that the existing population does not become alarmed with the arrival of military and civil hardware. Applications to immigrate from either the Pata Colony or Offworld Prime may be submitted to the Offworld Navy office of personnel affairs. Applicants must be able to pass a background investigation and hold the security clearance.

A volcano erupted near the energy center created by Lensman. This power should tranfer to his vortex controlled build. Dreamer2 and her team will be researching into the cause of the eruption to make sure it was natural. Air teams have been warned to avoid this area.

It is the feeling the new vortex could have drawn the "Squeetos" to Pata. The mechs are on alert for any more invasions by these parasite ships. Their only purpose seems to search the universe for fuel supplies while contributing nothing to its growth. In an effort to communicate, the language was old and misused. The occupants are from a stagnant civilization.

The consumption by the early "Squeetos" will not effect the tranfer of fuel to AW Off World. All machines in AW seem to be in working order. Redoubt has relocated to Pata to construct the lastest fighter ships to protect the inbound and outbound ships.

This rather usual creature landed in the Pata Navy Yard and received over 4000 gallons of quality grade A aviation Hydro fuel from the Navy stores before the servicing crew realized it was not a spacecraft. The creature was dubbed a “Squeeto” due to a remarkable resemblance to an earth insect with an annoying reputation. Following the initial appearance several others have shown up in the yard. One even punctured the fuel tank of a cargo transport. Upon gorging itself it attempted to fly but drunkenly augured into the ground. Approximately 2000 gallons of fuel was recovered. These creatures should not be a problem in the future as the automatic plasma cannons are reprogrammed to create a screen of fire around the Navy Yard to eliminate the threat.

New Installation at Arduous Rock

OW Planetary Defense Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Semi Toxic Industries ®, is chiseling out a niche on the Pata Colony at Arduous Rock. The knuckle busting job of drilling and forming this rock formation into something usable has been quite a task for the Semi Toxic crew, whose chief designer has been stricken with a case of synaptic gas as of late.

Meanwhile, the OWPDS flight crews have been using the time to get up close and personal with their new Dayton Aerospace ® D-207 Ramsabers.

The Ramsaber is a first-strike, single seat assault craft capable of atmospheric flight as well as orbital combat. It is armed with a 30mm quantum pulse cannon and powered by a single vectored thrust, fusion core engine that is capable of generating .8 LSV… or in layman’s terms, 0-60 in less than 0.013 seconds.

The primary mission of the installation will be the extraction of the rare-earth mineral, sublaxium which is used by Semi Toxic to make their popular skin acne product, Gouge-Out ®.

The energy tube was completed and doubled the amount of thermal energy manufacturing and storing. This will further the transfer of stored energy to AW Off World. Redoubt will be able to have all of the machines running in a matter of weeks. Thus Off World grows to new heights in the universe.

Accident with Geo-Thermal Powered Teleport Experiment

Utilizing blasters, scientists with the OffWorld Navy research laboratories vaporized a narrow hole all the way to the mantle of Pata. Geothermal energy generated by the excavation was to a power the new super-large ship interstellar teleport array. Unfortunately, upon activation an unexpected surge of energy fused the high energy transfer circuits. The surge also caused a cascade failure to the dedicated supercomputers controlling the teleport process. The resulting settings of the teleport array are unknown. The scientists are unsure as to the nature of the phenomenon that came into being immediately during the initial power on sequence. Current estimates are that the phenomenon is, in fact, a fourth dimensional plasma. Time travel is possible along the inside edge of the containing energy fields surrounding it (the access/mobius coil rings) . One scientist has been suspended from duty when it was discovered that he was meeting himself going off duty as he reported for duty. Apparently his future self was passing winning lotto numbers.

Oddly the plasma is exhibiting many behaviors expected of a black hole but without the damaging characteristics. The Naval research laboratory will continue to monitor the situation.

USS Christensen Commissioned

The newly launched USS Christensen, one of the newest ships built in the Off World Navy Yard on Pata, completed her trials and entered active service. The ship appears to be a simple deep space scout but is, in fact, a deadly hunter killer. The deception is part of the over all design of the craft and it hosts an oversized space drive and energy capacitor. It has long ranges sensors, cloaking and packs a punch with twin plasma beams cannons referred to as “long bows”. The Captain of the Christensen (see official photo) refers to each deployment as “her hunting season and is known to wear a camouflaged hat and a bright orange vest in combat. As with most new ships much is automated and the crew complement is small. The Christensen is rewriting the book on hunting pirates and terrorists along the main supply route between Pata and the Old OffWorld Colony.

New Ground Control and Terrain Leveling

OffWorld Naval operations found it necessary to utilize the armament of the rebuilding fleet to level ground in the vicinity of the new Navy Yard. A considerable amount of energy was expended in reducing uneven terrain in to level and serviceable spaceport facilities. In addition to docking ports a new ground operations control tower was installed. New ships are arriving on a daily basis. Many of the better ships sent from Earth have been pressed into the Fleet. Ground leveling operations will continue as the fleet continues to expand. Cargo handling facilities are planned for the near future.

Kronos Power Units

The Kronos power unit is technology derived from an alien invasion of the Earth in the country of Mexico in 1957. Information regarding the alien power storage mechanism came from old magnetic storage wire discovered on Earth in 2006. The information compiled by a super computer named S.U.S.I.E., was a wonderful example of 1950's technology. S.U.S.I.E. was about the size of the football field, but had no discernible functions or means of output. That would explain why the technology was not exploited. The data remained unmolested in a lead mine and was in prefect condition when discovered. Scanning the information required the 4.7 million miles of magnetic wire to be run through a mechanical reader and took close to 15 years to complete. Ironically the necessary data would hardly fill the storage capacity of today’s plasma projection wrist watch.

The OffWorld Navy built several Kronos units to use as deployable energy sources and some of them serve the Navy as mobile Auxiliary Power Units or APUs. They do have a tendency to wander off and suck power from any available energy source. Anyone spotting one of these units outside the Navy Yard should notify OffWorld Intelligence - Naval Fleet Operations (I-NFO) at once.

The OffWorld Navy completed the initial construction of the new headquarters building. One of the first services installed is a teleport platform for ships currently in the yard. The "Jean'd Arc" Arrives on Pata

The deep space battle cruiser "Jean'd Arc" was out of range when the solar flare energy pulse destroyed the hyper drives of the ships in the Navy Yard. It was diverted to Pata and has arrived at the initial objective rallying point for the OffWorld Navy. The “Jean’d Arc” is one of the few ships specifically built for the Navy. She has a small crew but the ship carries three sets of twin annihilator disruptor weapons. The additional firepower and range to the reconstituting Navy is critical. While on Pata she will undergo extensive renovations. Fortunately, power captured from the initial energy surge is sufficient to continue running high-volume teleportation of parts and material. The rush is on to get as much material teleported as possible before energy fades. Several other ships of different classes are still being recalled. Additionally, space message traffic indicates numerous disaster relief transports from Earth are on the way. The Navy anticipates and adding these in-bound spacecraft to the Navy in an effort to reconstitute the fleet.

Solar Flare Hits OffWorld!

The Glorianna reports a massive solar flare headed for OffWorld. The flare was detected during a routine patrol returning from the planet Pata. The energy spike is off the measurable scale. OffWorld Naval Operations predicts the flare will arrive in a month. Estimates indicate this flare will be a ELE (End of Life Event). A focused electromagnetic pulse preceding the flare has already hit Offworld and rendered the hyper drive engines, for ships currently in the Navy Yard, no longer operational. These ships will not be able to make the trip to Pata but can sustain local operations. The Navy will be able to redirect much of the energy in the flare into a controlled energy stream sufficient to run the universal teleport system to allow robots, material and people directly to Pata. Teleportation transport, after the initial evacuation, will be sufficient for individual travel but not commerce. Space borne shipping will be required. Fortunately, the Navy has sufficient craft on assignment outside of the path of the flare. All ships with operational hyper drives are to proceed to Pata there to reconstitute the OffWorld Navy.

OffWorld Expands!

Following numerous armed encounters with the inhabitants of the planet Pata the Navy elected to establish a base. Robot construction of a docking port is complet and a single armed destroyer the "Conan" remains on station. There is a strong possibility that additional facilities will be relocated from the current colony to Pata. Initial surveys of the planet indicate a breathable atmosphere an extensive natural resources. The planet supports several indigenous lifeforms and has a dazzling array of flora and fana. The management of the corporations associated with current corporate operations on OffWorld were advised by the office of Naval intelligence of the staggering potential of the planet. The Navy was instructed to establish a beachhead and support the exploitation of this new find. There is no record or registration of the planet in any earth related records. Therefore OffWorld takes possession of the world as a new discovery. The current inhabitants will be informed of this change of status as they are encountered.

Space Prison

The holding facilities located in the Navy Yard longer adequate to support a growing population of criminals and political misfits. Therefore the Navy constructed a prison in orbit. The prison was christened the “UbetterRepente” and it is a maximum-security facility offering midrange amenities to the prison population. The prison as the same handling characteristics of a large cargo ship and is capable of shifting orbit and maintaining station. The overall population of prisoners will be sent in the near future. The primary advantage of placing the prison outside of the atmosphere is the guarantee that no one will tunnel out as has occurred on numerous occasions at the facility located in the Navy Yard. However, the OffWorld Navy is taking no chances and will maintain a minimum of two Star destroyers capable of destroying individual ships or the entire prison if necessary. The inmate danger index is considered sufficient to maintain a credible threat thereby reducing the possibility of a prison riot.

Tunablues returned to central command today after being rescued by dreamer2. A few officers have voiced concern since he was tortured with mind altering drugs. The testing lab has noted no secrets were revealed by tunablues to the enemy, but they are closely monitoring his present mental processes.
He seems sluggish in his speech and quiet in his approach to duties.

New Empire Media Storm

New Empire Productions created a major stir in the colony. Before the advent of New Empire Productions, entertainment in the colony was restricted to limited videos brought from Earth. Most of these programs are approaching the viewed 5000 times point and many citizens can quote dialog entirely from memory without error.

Since the founding of the colony there was insufficient time for the production of local fare due to daily mining requirements and the time consuming process of making air and purifying water. Without coordinating with colony officials, citizen Redoubt managed to hide the efforts of a dedicated team of videographers and created stunning documentaries about OffWorld. The point about personnel missing shifts was discussed however it was decided that Redoubt and his people rendered a valuable service to the sprits of all involved in the daily grind of making the OffWorld Colony a go. General amnesty was therefore granted contingent on the further production of educational and general entertainment fare.

These videos may be viewed on demand at the New Empire Productions Cinema. There is no concession stands but microwave popcorn may be brought in provided the on site microwave ovens are used at $100.00 a minute charge (Popcorn generally takes 2 minutes to pop so plan ahead or take a loan out). New videos are expected in the future and possibly the colony's first game show.

Asteroid Ship Taken

The OffWorld Navy intercepted an unregistered ice mining ship, the "Ethan Allen", in the asteroid belt. The miners claimed to be working the belt for water ice to be delivered to the Pata Colony. An inspection of the invoice and cargo manifest indicated they were transporting 2000mega liters of water but the patrol scan indicated they were in fact 2 liters short. Therefore under the Cargo Inspection Act the ship and the entire Cargo was taken. The Colony water authority was delighted with the increase in frozen water ice having experienced a degree of set back in local mining efforts. The ship being carved form a metal asteroid itself is difficult to maneuver but is well suited for clandestine work in the asteroid belt where pirates and terrorists continue to attack the shipping lanes. The fleet Admiral was not with out compassion for the previous owners of the ship and graciously provided free transportation through the OffWorld Transport Company back to Pata. He was over heard to tell the departing crew that the action was regrettable and that he was truly sorry but, "Freedom Isn't Free!"

Articles and Specific Acts of the OffWorld Navy

Article 1
The Navy is charged with protection of the colony and to rid routes of commerce both interstellar and interplanetary of all threats.

Article 2
The Navy is charged with the development and expansion of the Fleet in an efficient and economical manner. To that end it is authorized to appropriate civilian craft but only through due process of law.

Article 3
The Navy is responsible for the provision of military intelligence for all sectors related to the colony and its operations.

Article 4
The Navy is authorized to enact laws and acts necessary to control all space falling within the influence of the colony.

Article 5
The Navy is authorized to create an Office of Naval Intelligence, a Naval Medical Corps, a Logistics Corps and the Tactical Fleet.

Article 6

The Navy is not funded by the OffWorld Colony nor any of its corporate partners. Funding the Fleet falls to the OffWorld Navy to generate revenue sufficient to acquire and maintain the Fleet and it's operations.

Specific Acts

The Adjusted Maritime Law Act
Any unoccupied craft discovered by any contingent of the Navy is considered salvage and shall become the property of the Navy. Any span of time a craft is completely unoccupied renders it subject to this act. Return of such craft on the part of the Navy to an original owner is at the discretion of the Fleet Admiral.

The Space Maritime Property Recovery Act
Any craft recovered by Navy resources shall become the property of the Navy. Return of such craft on the part of the Navy to an original owner is at the discretion of the Fleet Admiral.

The Temporal Imposition Act
Any time traveling craft pausing for any period, however brief, within space controlled by the colony shall become the property of the Navy. Any person arriving within space controlled by the colony by means of temporal transport fixed or mobile shall be considered a person of interest and delivered to the Office of Naval Intelligence.

The Modified Equipment on Civil Craft Act
Any civil craft found to be utilizing official Navy equipment shall be forfeit and become the property of the Navy. Any ship found to be utilizing any equipment, regardless of source, modified beyond its design parameters shall be forfeit and become the property of the Navy.

The Extended Parking Act
Any civil craft remaining within the confines of the Navy Yard beyond the dwell time specified in official flight plans shall become the property of the Navy

The Unregistered Craft Act
Any craft not originating from a sanctioned colony shipwright shall be forfeit and become the property of the Navy.

The Cargo Inspection Act
All cargo on colony shipping platforms is subject to Navy inspection. Deviance from approved manifests will result in immediate forfeiture of the cargo, ship involved and both shall become the property of the Navy.

Dreamer 2 is a Hero!

Dreamer 2 using her swift scout ship the “Leopard” successfully penetrated the lair of the space terrorists who were holding TunaBlues in bondage. Her tactical skills were taxed to maximum as she avoided space mines and early warning systems. The stealth hardware she borrowed for The Off World Naval Intelligence Office allowed her to evade the pursuit of the terrorists and returned TunaBlues. Upon return to the Navy Yard Dreamer2 uninstalled the Navy equipment and in the dead of night returned it to Naval stores. The Office of Naval Intelligence served notice of ship seizure under The Modified Equipment on Civil Craft Act was unable to locate the equipment. When the morning inventory reports came out the equipment was accounted for and according to the records never issued in the first place. Lensman when he approached the “Leopard” was denied entry and when he questioned Dreamer 2 about the equipment use costs Dreamer responded that, as Lensman so often says, “Freedom isn’t Free!”

Is Tunablues in the Hands of Terrorists?

The OWPS (Off World Private Spaceship) TB001 is missing. It left the colony several months ago with Tunablues, a founder of the colony, on board. The voyage to the outer asteroid belt was expected to take a month. An extension of the flight plan to a colony called Pata was submitted and approved after the ship left the asteroids. Pata being some what under-staffed failed to report the arrival of the OWPS TB001 until recently. A routine check on open fight plans by Off World Space Operations discovered the reporting error and the ship is officially currentl listed as missing.

The Office of Off World Naval Intelligence released classified documents recently indicating that the ship was in fact seized in open space by a terrorist group calling themselves the “Real World Issues” The RWI is holding Tunablues pending the resolution of as yet unspecified demands. The ship transponder was functioning and the Off World Navy Department recoverd the empty ship and returned it to the Navy Yard. The only evidence of occupancy was an emptied sixpac in the fridge. The fleet is on standby alert.

Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Tunablues should contact the Office of Naval Intelligence at once. There is no reward. The ship having been recovered under the adjusted Space Maritime Property Recovery Act became the property of the Off World Navy. “Freedom Isn’t Free!”

Manpower is short and a recruiting drive for the Off World Navy is in order. The Office of Naval Personnel has converted a deep space scout into a mobile recruiting platform. The ship, fitted with a powerful teleport matrix, can send recruits to many of the ships currently in the Navy Yard. While there are no personnel available to meet the public on the various ships, the teleport matrix is set up to filter for “persons of interest”. The public is advised to leave any heavy metal objects behind prior to using any of the teleports in the scout ship lest they arrive in the holding tank of the Off World Naval Intelligence Corps. The Arco Discovery

A ship from old earth, The Arco, was discovered with the greatest of treasures last week in the ice asteroid fields surrounding Off World. The spacecraft is by far the largest find in the history of the colony. On board records indicate that an organization called “Green Peace” built it to preserve the forest plant life of earth. The craft had neither crew on board nor evidence that one had ever been there. The ship was self maintaining and apparently parked it self among the ice fields to use the water deposits. The interior of the craft is in three chambers. The first is devoid of life support systems having failed but the remaining two are a wonder. The Off World Navy will hold the ship in trust in the Navy Yard pending the establishment of an acceptable planetary atmosphere.

Pirate Ship Captured!

A fully functional pirate ship was recently captured by the Off World Navy. The ship was captured while in hyperspace. The Gloriania enveloped the unsuspecting ship in a stasis field and dropped out of hyperspace. The crew was left behind in hyperspace when the ship left without the phase adjustment operation resulting in a clean kill of the pirate crew. The majority of the stolen property was removed from the ship and will be available for reclamation through an Off World Auction. While the auction is regrettable costs of fleet operations must be met. After all "Freedom Isn't Free!"

Strange ship

A ship looking much like a Solar Sail ship appeared in the Navy Yard. The appearance coincides with an energy flux in the Time Tunnel during recent tests. The craft was boarded by Naval Intelligence and is unoccupied. The navigation consol was read and craft recently held three passengers one was named TRON the other entries are some what distorted but a collision was also noted in the log book caused by something called a “Master Control Program”. There are energy beams passing through the craft one going in the front and one leaving in the back. The beam is pure energy but with a pulsing 0 and 1 pattern. The anomaly causing the craft to be in the Navy Yard is stable but there is no indication the object poses a threat to Off-world. Oddly, there was a reference to another mystery device present in the Yard last year.

HMS Gloriana Crew Arrives

The crew of the Gloriana arrived early carried by the new transport from Offworld Transport. The ship seats thirty with all the comforts of home. Docking went smooth and there were no problems with the rebuilt airlocks and extending ramp. The Glorianna will remain in the Navy Yard as train-up on the new systems occurs. The transport is also assigned in a support mission to the Gloriana as directed by the Fleet commander , Lensman.

New Racer Created from Old Records

Using the records recovered from the Tracy Space Coupe, the Off World Navy Engineer Corps recreated a racing craft. These racers were reportedly used on a plannet called Tataouine, named for a real Tunisian town on ancient earth. The racer was driven by the legendary Skywalker of myth. While the Navy historical group is certian that no such person existed, they point out that men of earth were prone to name things after mythological heros and the gods of old. Never the less the craft does move as shown in the records, it is harder to control than depicted.

These craft were not capable of flight at significant altitude but were clocked at speeds exceeding 800kph. Additional data was recovered as well leaving hope that a second craft may be constructed and the art of racing these fine machines may grace the frozen deserts of Off World.

The HMS Gloriana refit is complete the head of the Off World Navy inspected the ship from stem to stern. The refit includes first rate quarters for officers and crew. More important, are four enhanced pulse cannons, the very latest in distructive power and range. Engine modification are also completed. HMS Gloriana Arrives

HMS Gloriana, having been overtaken by pirates last week, was recovered intact. Furniture and appointments were missing, no doubt sold for parts. Fortunately, the components of the Rolls Royce Hyper Drive were untouched. The Off World Navy will proceed to refit the Gloriana as a command and center. There were objections from the original owners however a recovered ship belongs to the finder under adjusted space maritime law. The original owners have lost a considerable investment and will not be compensated. The commander of the Off World Fleet, Lensman, stated “Freedom isn’t free”.

CY Icon Unearthed

A strange iridescent icon, found while the alien origin archeology team was conducting a dig in the excavations for a new building, is of terrestrial origin. Left on Off World centuries ago by a group calling themselves the Cy Award(psychic?) travelers, it confounds the experts. There was a prediction engraved on the back of the icon stating that a colony know as Off World was the “best community” in the universe for the year 2006. The inscription named all of the current builders in Off World. It is possible that the find is somehow associated with recent historical anomalies related to current operational time tunnel problems. How anyone on Earth that long ago could know of the Off World colony is a mystery.

The icon is on display in the Off World Museum. Anyone having additional knowledge of how the CY Award travelers mastered universal teleportation should report to the Off World Office of Naval Intelligence. Universe capable teleportation systems offer significant tactical advantaged to the Navy and the economy as a whole.

Another Time Machine!

There is deep concern within the Off World Office of Naval Security. Another time machine appeared in the navy yard. Fortunately the time traveler was apprehended. He only gives the name “Time Traveler” and has stated that no good comes of his arrest and that if not released at once irreparable harm will come to the time stream. He was given a sedative and a warm bed in the detention facility. The only item in his wallet of intrest was a picture of an attractive young woman named "Weena".

The machine is not functioning and the traveler states that he has the key hidden and without it his machine can not function. Security officers and technicians have poured over the machine and have noted some interesting characteristics of the hardware in this latest arrival that hold out the possible repair the current temporal distortion and perhaps open time tunnel operations to the future.

Navy security personnel are on the alert. Who knows how many more time machines will show up on our door step. Citizens of Off World should alert Naval Security if they run across another machine.

Time Machine Appears

Apparently the Time Tunnel is not completely shut down. The strong temporal distortion field is still in place. A small time machine materialized in the Off World Navy Yard some time during the night in the single place not covered by surveillance cameras. A newspaper from Victorian England, specifically London, was in the glove compartment along with an over due gas bill for a Mr. H.G. Wells esq. The machine is holding in stasis and apparently Mr. Well has gone exploring. Anyone encountering Mr. Wells in any of the Off World Builds is encouraged to contact the Off World Office of Naval Security immediately.

B5 Inter-stellar Portal Operational (sort of)

The B5 inter-stellar portal is now completed and in place above Navy Headquarters. Vortex problems have yet to be resolved. Transport via the hyperspace tube is considered risky. The risky assessment is based on the fact that anything going through the device, to date, is not recoverable in its original configuration. The last probe probe was sent to the star 23BF17 and images came back through the tube but when the probe returned in came back in small metal cubes. While the probe was a complete write off the metal cubes made nice keep sakes for the staff.

Time Tunnel

The Off–World Navy Department recently discovered a number of visual disks stored in the “Tracy moon coupe". These visual records chronicle and depict, with a surprising degree detail, an operational” Time Tunnel". Navy engineers were able, through observation (suffering through really stupid commercials), to backward engineer a time travel device similar to the one shown. The power requirements are significant however it was thought that return on the investment would more than justify the cost. Unfortunately, the reengineered hardware is only capable of accessing the past. No visuals or travel to the future were obtained or occurred.

Findings related to these trips to the past show that this world has been barren of life for millennia. There was one notable exception when one of the Explorers encountered a multi-leg insect and in a disagreement killed it. Upon return to the future the traveler discovered that he did not have his credit cards and in fact had never own one.

The facility is no longer operational but is available for public inspection for those seeking examples of government waste.

BMW opened in Off World today. Bob's Motor Works introduced four models, (the Panther, Shark, Lynx, and Jaguar); these are the fastest cars to be manufactured in Off World and are for the elite clientele. BMW will also be manufacturing the new Off World

Sci Fi Museum Gets New South Hall

A little less than a year since it first opened, the Off World Museum of Sci Fi has already experienced its second expansion. The museum now is four times the size it was when originally built and still twice as large as its last incarnation.

Because of the space needed, an entirely new hall was constructed on the south side of Church Road with both halves now connected by an elevated promenade.

Elevators, situated in the center of each wing, provide access to and from the promenade level.

The first two exhibits in the new south hall are Dick Tracy’s ‘Space Coup’ by Lensman and the Jupiter 2 from the old TV series, Lost in Space.

The official opening of the South Hall will not be for another week or so as bugs are worked out with some of the new features and an outdoor exhibit and recreation area is built.

Excavation Begun Near Paradise City

It was just an ordinary night in Paradise City for Doug Gutterspit. A few rounds at Ziggy’s, some lost-cause gambling at Gimme All Your Money and then, off to his favorite hole to forget about it.

But what Doug wasn’t expecting was that on this night, someone else had already decided to flop in his spot. So rather than make an issue with a stranger who was very likely armed, he went off in search of another hole… something left over from the old ice mining days in what is now Paradise City.

Well, Doug found his new hole. It was probably the result of wind erosion over time. He had never seen it before. All the better for him, he must have been thinking. In he went, expecting to find nothing more than a comfy spot on this barren space rock. Before he got out, his life was forever changed…

Offworld Ice and Water Mining, who owns all of Paradise City and adjacent land, has now cordoned off the area. The hole…. Was not just a hole. It was an entrance into a subterranean world left by a race of beings a million years ago. It is their grave… essentially, an alien catacomb.

1960s Era Spacecraft Found by Navy

During the recent power up of Carrier 61's station holding impellers, ice melted on the surface. A spacecraft with a nomenclature of "Moon" Coupe and the word "Police" on the side was discovered. The ships logs while paper based were readable. One of the last pilots listed was a "Dick Tracy" There is no record of a "Dick Tracy" pilot in the naval archives however a New York metro detective circa 1960s by that name was identified. Soil analysis from deposits inside the craft matched the moon of Earth. More alarming and greater intrest was the antigravity drive which is unknown technology. Earth in 1960 had no spacecraft sporting such an advanced propulsion system. A check of the drive components shows that all the parts making up the drive are in fact from 1960. This discovery may indicate the existance of another space faring race and a potential danger to the colony. The Navy group will assume a higher threat profile. Estimates of the speed capability of the craft support the contention that it made the trip from earth to Off World but the crew would be long dead.

After the Fall-Out

The Red Dwarf appeared to go nova when a change of events caused it color to change to yellow. The core of the dwarf stayed intact, but the colors changed to yellows and oranges much like the sun for the earth. The winds caused by the shift hit Off World on April 8 causing damage to all communication lines. The satellites we all destroyed. Commander Pharadon has rebuilt the probe station and is launching new satellites.

The shift also benfited Off World by cleansing the atmosphere. We are fortunate Redoubt has created the large and port construction just in time. The reservoir was filled with water just days before the event. The water evaporated to a point that Off World has clouds now and couple have weather in it future. I also increased the oxygen percentage of the air making it more breathable. Masks are still required.

Still No Water... But We Have A Bridge!

Back when Off World was founded, there was just no way to know what the future might hold. An ancient and desolate planet in an unremarkable corner of the universe, Off World was a long shot for even those hardy souls who first dared to drink water from thawed ice that was frozen millions of years ago. Well, that ice has now become the lifeblood of a world rich in it, and as the water begins to flow into the vast Blue Dream Reservoir, the dreams of turning it into wealth is nearing reality. Off World Ice and Mining has announced that they will begin operations as soon as the road builders finish the first leg of the Off World East Mountain Ridge Parkway. But they aren’t the only ones coming for dinner. Several more mining operations are expected to take up the jobs of mining, thawing and refining the ice. Not only that, but there are other ice reserves in the southern Off World sectors that are as yet untapped that could spring to life at any time.

So, how does one get to the ice? The 2700+ foot Abiego Bridge now spans the Blue Dream Reservoir basin, beginning at the eastern end of Icon Highway and landing at the base of Mount Deckard and the entrance to the Off World Planetary Defense Command Center buried deep within. From there, the Mountain Ridge Parkway goes north and south and will eventually link the entire Cold Mountains Range.

What happens if you build a bridge and no water comes? This is the question being asked by a number of upstanding (and otherwise) Off Worlders watching the construction of the new bridge at the eastern end of Icon Highway. “That’s a right nice bridge but there ain’t a drop of water underneath of it!” commented former Earthling, Royce Pervy. Royce came here looking for work as a full-time cad in Paradise City but finds himself still unemployed due to the large number of undesirables that call the old mine pit home. So he stands, watching each day as the work on the bridge goes on, hoping the foreman will call for a professional bum from the crowd of would-be laborers. “It’s kind of depressing on top of everything else.” Royce continues. It seems his ex-wife soaked him for most everything he owned, including his 1965 Ford F-100 short bed pickup truck that was his home. “She took my truck, my radio and my dadburn dog! That old hound was my best friend and my blanket too!” Asked if he had any other talents besides making a general nuisance of himself, Pervy replied “I can pull my teeth out and suck my lips in, like this!” Impressive. He and many of the Paradise City irregulars can be found along the future banks of… whatever they decide to call the lake, once filled with as-yet unseen water… that the unnamed bridge will eventually go over… in the direction of the assumed mountain chain in the East.

Huge Project Undertaken in the East

A massive municipal works project has begun in the east that will eventually link Icon Highway to the eastern mountains via a suspension bridge that will be over 2,700 feet long. Along with the bridge will also be built a high-endurance sea wall that will eventually enclose an area to be flooded, roughly 5 miles in length and to a depth of nearly 50 feet. The project is a result of plans to open the vast ice reserves in the eastern mountains to mining that will in turn create the large body of water to be contained. The water reservoir will be drawn from to create hydrogen fuel, oxygen and drinking water for Off World as well as exports to a number of other locations.

The project has already yielded the first span of the retaining wall in the north sector with foundations being readied in the southern reaches.

The road approach and threshold is nearly complete with the bridge anchors currently under construction.

Off World today officially welcomed both Taco Hell and Scrub-A-Bot to the family of local businesses. Taco Hell is a universally recognized name in cute commercials that are nowhere near truthful in the advertising of their products. When was the last time you got a taco with some meat on it? Us either. At any rate, they are here and selling their wares and… we welcome them.

The Scrub-A-Bot chain is relatively old, a descendant of the venerable “Scrub-A-Butt” Avatar Washes… but updated for Off World clientele. The automated robot cleaners feature a steam and buff for the automaton’s outer casing and an electronic memory wash, the latter of which is still experiencing some glitches as can be seen in the latest edition of OW News, here.

At last, the Northeast quad is again getting some attention. After being neglected as the Eastern and Southern extremities got all the new development, the Northern quarter has finally begun to tighten up. It began with a bitter dispute between OW Tram and the NG Tram competing for the remaining right-of-way north with the venerable OW Tram retaining its original mandate to connect the central with the North and South. “It may be the last leg the older OW Tram runs Northward but at least it was able to fulfill its charter” said Percy Clegg, one of OW Tram’s first engineers.

In other news, Burger Thing, a universally recognized name in fat distribution, today opened its first OW franchise on the corner of Toe Stub Road and East Sagan Avenue.

The franchise had been dealing with Foryoma property owners in the South but was never able to reach an agreement. The franchise though, was never in question according to Slurb Bulslurger. “We were determined to locate in OW but we weren’t going to make our employees sacrifice their children or family pets to do it”. No one is quite sure just what this guy meant… but the restaurant is now open anyway.

Quiet Day in Off World

Perhaps the calm before the storm or maybe just a brief lull in the daily routine, Off World today experienced a quiet day. To wit: There were no reported crimes in Paradise City, no spent rocket stages falling down upon populace, no new movies premiering and no known traffic accidents, cases of ingrown toenails, rampaging robots or improper behavior from bathroom plumbing. Off World Law Enforcement mechs were actually seen playing softball on an empty lot across from the All Faith Church.

Helmets and gas masks will be passed out to the public beginning tomorrow morning at dawn in all the usual locations.

On The Way: The Specter

It’s not here yet but it’s coming. The Centurion Specter is a top-end flying car that has no peers. Well, not yet, anyway. The Specter is still in development but the first prototypes are very impressive. Because of the design, we do expect that they will bank in turns and accept programming for most any environment that any other ground or air vehicle offers.

The Specter will initially be marketed directly to the public via ads like this one here.

But as the series gains acceptance and the line, recognition, it is almost inevitable that the maker, Centurion, will spot a dealership in Off World.

Ch Ch Ch Changes

Two events today, both expected and unexpected. The first was the announcement that the first leg of the Next Gen Tram is in the books. The NG Tram was expected to take to the rail before summer but because of uncertainties to future availability, the construction crews rushed this first example into production. The NG Tram, operating under the temporary authority of Metro Offworld Rapid Transit, runs North and South between Paradise City Parkway and the badlands along Spaceport Throughway. An opening ceremony is tentatively scheduled for this Monday morning.

The second event caught most by surprise as Dreamstar Astro Aviation took up operations from the new main terminal at Offworld Spaceport. Dreamstar is basically a shuttle service serving both of Offworld’s moons, Ramses and Mogul, and the OW Space Station, the latter a contract that Dreamstar acquired as a result of OW Transport being purchased by OWEX.

The Off World News Story

“It was bound to happen sooner or later and I guess we’re lucky it waited until now.” Thus were the first words spoken from fledgling Off World News anchor, Clatter Hash when speaking of the upstart OWN. Hash, along with co-anchor, Priss Feumes will be reporting news and events for the greater Off World community as OWN begins operations from its headquarters in the long unused Two Towers Complex.

Clatter Hash, a modified Alpha Robotics WD-40, was programmed at the Mars University for Artificial Intelligence and graduated with 100 megs of RAM and as a Hit-the-Roads Scholar. Hash meandered between jobs as a toaster oven and automobile engine diagnostic tool before landing this position with OWN.

Priss Feumes, a Synorg 3.1, spent several years wandering the cooking TV circuit, which is where she first met Clatter. Together, the pair worked as cooking utensils until she moved on to a job as a telephone answering system at the now defunct Microsoft Corporation. While at Microsoft, she was commended for rerouting calls to useless extensions, speaking in a manner unintelligible to human ears and creating a 9.0 degree of utter futility for incoming callers.

Rusty Cann is an older Alpha Robotics PIG (prototype intelligence generation) who was fortunate enough to get an upgrade after working as a missile target for Raytheon. When Raytheon was acquired by New Empire, Rusty was headed for the recycle bin when one of the techs broke company policy and took him home to his children who in turn, installed several new components. Rusty escaped to freedom but is chronically troubled with Evil Dead and Road Rash flashbacks.

Mergers and OW Spaceport Expansion

Like a sleek raptor from above, OWEX yesterday swooped down and devoured OffWorld Transport. The merger makes OWEX the largest overall corporation in Off World and the sole parcel shipping and delivery agency. OW Transport, one of Off World’s original businesses, operated out of a large terminal on Icon Highway using smaller shuttle craft to connect to it’s shipping network from orbit but had seen its business share slip as OWEX gained a firm foothold with direct routes and faster service.

Less than an hour after the deal was finalized, demolition bots came in and razed both the old terminal and the now-empty old New Empire building directly across the street.

Immediately upon clearing the land of the old buildings, construction crews began on the new Off World Spaceport public terminal that will initially house AirOne at the Northern concourse. The larger Southern concourse does not yet have an occupant but the state-of-art-facility should have no problem finding a tenant.

Spaceport authorities are considering a larger, all-encompassing makeover for the mid town facility but the sheer scale of any such endeavor would require a great deal of time and funding so for the moment, the plan is simply one of many under study.

Raytheon purchased by New Empire

Raytheon an original member on Icon Highway was purchased yesterday by New Empire Industires. The buildings were demolished this morning to make way for a new project. New Empire also purchased the land Buzz Lightyear's new movie was being advertised and cleared that area as well. Buzz will be moved to a new spot in the near future.

Command Center in final stages of completion

The new command center that will route all communications, security, military action, and roadway construction is nearing completion. This center will provide faster communications in Off World as well as quick reactions by security and military personel.

Air Service Comes to OW

If you were looking in the sky today and saw that new bird, you weren’t alone. Air-1, a global-class passenger carrier, flew in today to begin service to and from OW Prime. Their ships are the graceful, if not romantic Convair A9W’s that span the planet to dozens of locations.

The first of the fleet is being moored temporarily on Church Road between Spaceport Throughway and West Terminal Road. Air-1 has not yet selected a site for it’s operations but hopes to locate somewhere in the area of the spaceport.

New Empire Rising

New Empire today began construction on its new production complex that will eventually host the entire New Empire corporate family. The first to go up will be the front building that will house an eight-screen cinema and welcome center for visitors. Directly adjacent and next on the construction agenda will be an indoor production studio with automatic lighting controls and retractable darkroom roof and walls. Following these efforts will come the outdoor production lot, prop storage center and finally, the new home for Alpha Robotics. No deadline for completion has been set but it is hoped the new studio facilities will be completed around the first of spring.

Off World Planetary Defense Systems

Located along the Icon Highway, the newly installed Off World Planetary Defense System launch site operates two silos that spew forth Gryphon Mk-V Missiles every 70 seconds. While based on older technology, this time tested design is perfect as an asteroid or space-junk killer.

It is however, worthy to note that the Gryphon series missile also pollutes the air with toxins known to cause sudden brain death in cock roaches and is also likely to drop spent booster stages down on the local population… which makes it serendipitous that Off World is so sparsely populated. Historically though, there is only one case of a used booster cell causing any injury and that was quite some time back when one fell on Hazel Glumnoodle’s house which led her to think the world was coming to an end and thereby free to bash her husband over the head with a shovel. She was later convicted of possessing a deadly garden implement and sentenced to 30 years on a pain farm. Mr. Glumnoodle survived both the divorce and the incident... and is now an office manager for State Prison Farm Insurance.

Flying Fish Industries Announce the Completion of the Duster Assembly Plant

Yamatoe a division of Flying Fish Industries acquired DuraTech Industries which manufactures small personal vehicles. The design originally came from our own Off World Officer Dusti. Thus it was decided to name the car the Duster in honor of her and some historical value. The complex will turn out approximately 50 units per shift. Thirty percent will be used for Off World residents and tourist while the rest will be sent to Halo Prime to be sold through the Off World agent there.

In other news, Yamatoe has confirmed that it has been participating in talks with Riddick LLC. The deal has not been finalized. If completed, OWEX would take over the routes run by Riddick LLC and become the universe’s largest freight carrier.

Planetarium and Universal Antenna

Officer Pippin contacted Dr. Graphic from the Starship Eve to join her in finishing the final commands at the Planetarium Complex. The giant antenna was a major piece of the puzzle in our communications effort. It allows real time communications with all of the solar systems.

This is another link in the command structure for Off World. The planetarium allows for live three dimensional star charts. This information has been forwarded to OWEX and to the Mech Force. Computer lead ins will also be added for the probes.

Return of an Old Friend

After being neglected as Off World grew, the Blue Kiosks are back!

The Blue Kiosks, one of Off World’s first public information devices, have long sat in a dormant stage, doing little to fulfill their original purpose. The ongoing upgrade includes offering website access links to information on all panels, and now also includes TB Technology’s direct access panel to the Off World website which includes links to this blog, click-and-go OW teleport links and the OW Forum.

The first Blue Kiosk upgrade has been completed at the site located on the corner of Icon Highway and Spaceport Throughway (just across from the post office). The next upgrade is scheduled for the original Blue Kiosk, next to Chef Lee’s Diner, with additional locations currently being selected for the South and East.

In other news, the Foryoma Executive Office Park is now accepting lease applications. The main building, housing the Community Health and Life Center, as well as the local Foryoma corporate offices is 90% complete. The corporate office wing is still awaiting doors and furniture, as well as some building extrusions. This has been delayed because the Foryoma Corporation blew their wad and can’t afford to finish it until it sells some more cars.

And on the subject of Foryoma Motors, they have just introduced the Foryoma Gnat, their first flying model. Prices are expected to be much lower than the high-end Dayton Aerospace models. A spokesperson for Foryoma said the Gnat has a safety rating so good, he couldn’t even describe it except to say that once the parachute accessory is added, life expectancy of owners will nearly triple.

Like so many things in life, we get an abundance that often becomes an overload. And so it is you will now be graced with yet another update from the East Sector which is almost (almost, my butt) wholly based on the Foryoma Office Complex.

Remember how your teacher in school used to pound certain things into your heads in hopes you would not forget? Okay, well this is based on the same format… but the theory is ENTIRELY different because there is simply nothing happening in the East Sector right now EXCEPT getting this dag-blasted complex completed so we can move on. Therefore, like the schoolwork that used to bore you with unending useless facts (like who played Hamlet in 1935 on a truck-trailer stage at Grunt Valley, Arkansas), please wrap your scalp in thick aluminum foil as we once again visit this office complex project that seems to be on a government payroll…

Dang-it all to hell… it’s almost done and we’ll all be happy as all get-out when it is. Here’s a picture...

Something New to the South

Recently Dr. D instructed the serve bots to begin clearing more land to the south to expand the "Fly" manufacturing facility. BOT9706 discovered a black stone block with strange unknown writing on it. He immediately sent messages to all supervisors of his find. The camera bots were brought to the area to maintain surveillances of the new items. What were seen from the air were 4 blocks of rusted metal and a stone with text as well as a box with a red button. The small cleanup bots were sent in to clean all the terrain away from the objects.
Doctor D (dreamer2) made the decision to have the switch activated. The switch triggered four black monolithic ships to rise from under the terrain. Each stands 55 meters tall and has storage globes attached. Each one attached itself to its own individual power supply.
The committee decided to stop all activity around the ships or rockets until it can be determined that these were not weapons.

In the News: New Empire's Newest Empire

The New Empire Corporation, which includes New Empire Productions and Alpha Robotics, today unveiled its plans for new centralized offices, production facilities and labs. The complex is set to be located on the corner of Church Road and Yeager Street and will include a main office building which will also have at least one theater, a multi-use - fully enclosed studio, outdoor production lots, prop storage facilities, the Alpha Robotics lab, a large parking area and what is being described as a “stylized clock tower”.

There has been no firm date set for beginning of construction as the firm awarded with the contract to build the new complex, Slogg, Waite and Procrastinate VLLC, is currently tied up building the Foryoma Executive Office Park just a bot’s walk Southwest of the proposed New Empire location.

Huge Robot

A huge robot has appeared at the end of the ship yard. Its specifications are not listed in the corporate files and was constructed by the ship yard robots. There is deep concern at corporate headquarters over the independent action of the robot work force not to mention the diversion of valuable resources from the ship construction project. The head of robot programming was sent home with full loss of benefits and backpay. The chief robot programmer position is now open only serious applications will be considered.

In a more distrubing development the word "union" is showing up in routine mantnenace reports taken from selected ship yard robots.

Paradise City Grows

Two major news stories erupted today as Off World Tram System announced it would be building a new tram station in the far NW corner of this old, depleted ice mine. No date has been set for the new station but sources report that the deal is set in…. ice.

The second run-off pouring over the tepid edges of PC is that a new dance theater is about to be located next to the RedoubtSouth Distillery…. Prime spotting, we’d say.

Dysfunctional Robots & Clinical Research Facility

Dusti has joined the group in Off World. She has started a new project in ernest for the robots that have been a concern to us all. She stated that they are starting to evolve on their own and will eventually interpret the laws as they see fit. The facility will be used to educate the problem bots and allow them to re-enter the system. Her design also incorporates new vehicles to further that end. It is our hope that the facility will be able to resolve the recent problems with the robots. Staff will be coming in on March's transport. Until then I have scheduled more mechs to patrol all facilities until further notice.

Algi Farm Project

With recent deliveries from the Argo hydroponics ship the Algi Farm went into full production. Undergound liquid water was discovered in a ice pressure plate fault directly under the farm which produced heated vent allowing for both geothermal power . The farm also has power augmentation from the wind. The farm is expected to boost air production for the Off World installation.

Robots from the shipyard who have not been cooperating with human supervisors may be temporarily assigned to the farm to clean the Bio-cast-off filters. Filter cleaning is a dirty and smelly task and perfect work for robots. Manual over-ride control boxes will be installed when a robot shows independent behaviors. Such assignment is only a temporary fix while technicians bebug the free choice subroutines.

Office Park Rises

The Foryoma Executive Office Park is running a bit behind schedule due to equipment malfunctions that were not the fault of the builder. But thanks to great weather and an apparent correction of the original problem, today’s progress has nearly made up the shortfall.

The New Empire Corporation, which includes New Empire Productions and Alpha Robotics, has select a preliminary site for its new headquarters near the intersection of Church Road and Yeager Street. The new complex will house all New Empire Corporate offices and Video Studios. No date has been set yet for construction.

Re: The Expo - Townhall Meeting

A big THANK YOU! to all who attended the townhall meeting in Off World last night. The expo of articles/builds created by the builders of Off World will continue through the end of the month so, if you missed the meeting itself, you can still drop by the University – Convention Center to get a taste of what it is we’re doing here.

Completion of the fourth and final building at the above mentioned University and Convention Center will be on hold until the end of the expo. Current plans allow for some further, future expansion when and if it is needed though.

Update: Foryoma Office Complex

Ground breaking for the executive office park located at the Foryoma automated car plant is tentatively scheduled for this Monday morning, barring any unforeseen difficulties. The plan calls for four multi-tier office complexes connected by elevated people movers that will also be automated with an adjacent flying car launch and landing/parking center. The main building will be occupied by Foryoma, a second to house a health center/hospital, with the remaining two to be divided between local companies and occupation by lease.

Tramming

The next generation of Tram is in the design phase. When complete, the new rail transit service will be placed beginning at transfer stations from the current lines as terminals. Ideally, it is hoped the new design will offer more in the way of interior comfort, faster speed and less intrusion to the areas immediately surrounding the right-of-way.
