East Sector Updates

Spread upon the desolate landscape that came before it, Off World continues to grow. It’s amazing really because there are so many reasons why it shouldn’t work. So many things shouldn’t even be possible yet, here in this place, they thrive.

New arrivals and other stuff:

Growing out of the ground in the Eastern sector is the Backflow Bottoms Shopping Center with initial tenants including Papa’s John Pizza and Rent-A-Bot. This is a welcome addition to an area that has missed a lot of development because of the Tram System cutting a swath across the neighborhood. Also just opened is the Suds & Shells, a 24-hour oyster bar in Paradise City. Along just North of GZ and next to the Critter is a soon-to-be-opening Center for Off World Studies and Culture… which will eventually include a theater/lecture hall on the upper floors of the main building and two exhibition halls with laboratories just across the street to the East. The Foryoma automated car plant will be getting its long-awaited executive office park sometime around the first of February which will also be the first steps in opening the Southeastern quad for expansion. Included in this growth will be the new, New Empire video studios and main offices. The old studios will be demolished along with the old downtown complex. There are no current plans for the property located at either location but the main office complex currently sits in the mid-town area and could be replaced, or re-occupied, by the Off World Tram System… which has no centralized control center at this time. Finally, ( and speaking of control) the Off World Space Port will be getting a control tower soon... that is tentatively planned to be located just East of the Colonial Clipper hanger.
